Australia’s Aboriginal peoples hold the world’s oldest continuous culture, dating back more than 65,000 years. Long kept secret, this culture emerged onto the global stage in the mid-20th century through paintings on canvas.


The Lodève Museum invites visitors to discover these mesmerising works, which reveal a rich system of knowledge and a way of life based not on owning the Earth, but living in harmony with it.
